The rapid growth of online gambling has emerged as a significant public health concern for adolescents. Participation in gambling behaviors is increasing, fueled by greater access to digital environments and mobile platforms such as online casinos, sports betting, and poker. Disparities in gambling involvement are especially pronounced across racial, socioeconomic, and gender lines, with African American youth and male students at particularly elevated risk. Rising engagement, paired with the associated mental health and financial consequences, underscores the critical need for early identification and adolescent-centered intervention.

This webinar will equip health professionals with up-to-date knowledge on risk factors and screening approaches, examine the role of digital environments in promoting gambling behaviors, and highlight the importance of parental and community engagement. Participants will gain evidence-based strategies for education, brief interventions, and prevention initiatives to effectively support adolescent well-being and mitigate risk.

This webinar will be recorded and made available in our training catalog within 1-2 weeks.
