PLEASE NOTE: No continuing education credits are available for this course.
This recorded webinar discusses the widespread mental, physical, and educational impacts of ICE raids on youth (ages 12-24) as well as the broader impacts on families and communities. Drawing on real-life accounts from across the U.S., the session will highlight unique challenges faced by young people affected by immigration enforcement actions. The session also provides actionable guidance for health care and youth-serving professionals on how to best support young people and families when immigration enforcement occurs in their communities. Important “know your rights” information is covered, including how to recognize different types of warrants, protect client confidentiality, and respond effectively in school, health care, or other community settings.
The contents of this webinar are solely the responsibility of the presenters and do not necessarily represent the official views of AHI or any AHI Section.
